Description
Looking for more strength to add to your Dana300? One of the weak links of a d300 is the stamped steel inspection cover, which allows the cast case to flex and break in half. This cover helps alleviate that problem by using 1/4″ steel plate to bolt the open side of the case together. This cover will fit all Dana300 models from 1980-1986 Jeep CJ5, CJ7, CJ8 and the 1980 IH Scout “texas bolt pattern” d300.
Key Features:
- 1/4″ Plate Instead of 1/16″ Tin: Our Dana 300 cover securely holds the open side of the case, stopping flex. Say goodbye to worries about your cast iron case splitting in half during extreme rock crawling conditions.
- Tabs Provided: Weld-on tabs allow you to box out over the large gear, allowing clearance over front pinon gear and fluid to cover the gear just like the stock cover.
- Fill/Drain Hole: The stock location fill/drain hole will be drilled and tapped, ready to swap over your magnet from the stock cover
- Unpainted Steel: The D300 cover arrives bare steel finish, giving you the freedom to paint it any color that matches your rig’s custom look.
- Comes with Hardware: Mounts ship with new 5/16″ x 1″ grade 12 socket cap screws to ensure full thread engagement for strength.
- Tested Tough: All Pathmaker Productions parts are rigorously tested on my personal rock crawler. You can trust their fit and durability for long-term off-road use.
